i The service due date is displayed in days or
kilometres, depending on the total distance
driven.
The time between the individual service due
dates depends on your style of driving. You can
increase this by:
I
driving with care and at moderate engine
speeds
I
avoiding short journeys where the engine
does not reach its operating temperature
Service due date display
The following messages may be displayed:
I
9 for service A
I
´ for service B
The following are also shown depending
on the style of driving:
I
the remaining distance in kilometres
I
the remaining time in days
Missing the service due date
If you have missed the service due date,
the following symbol flashes in the display
for 10 seconds after the ignition is
switched on:
I
9 for service A
I
´ for service B
You will also see a minus sign before the
service due date.
Calling up the service due date
E Turn the key to position 2 in the igni-
tion lock.
The display is activated.
Vehicles with steering wheel buttons
E Press the è or · button on the
steering wheel repeatedly until you see
the standard display (
e page 108) or
(
e page 124).
E Press the j or k button on the
steering wheel repeatedly until you see
the following in the display, for exam-
ple:
I
9 service A due in .. days
I
9 service A due in .. km
The letters A or B indicate the type of
service that is due.
Vehicles without steering wheel but-
tons
Press menu button
5 on the instrument
cluster repeatedly until you see the follow-
ing in the display:
I
9 for service A
I
´ for service B
The following are also shown depending
on the style of driving:
I
the remaining distance in kilometres
I
the remaining time in days
You can return to the basic display by:
I
pressing the menu button for longer
than one second
I
not pressing any button for 10 seconds
Bonnet
G
Risk of accident
Do not pull the release lever while the ve-
hicle is in motion. The bonnet could other-
wise open.
