16.6 Power-on Test
This test is to verify that the equipment can power up correctly. This test is passed if the
equipment starts up by following this procedure:
1. Insert the battery in the battery compartment, and connect the equipment to the
AC mains. The AC mains indicator and battery indicator light up.
2. Press the button on the front panel to turn on the equipment. The work
status indicator lights up inside the Power button.
3. The screen lights up.
4. The main interface is displayed. Now the equipment is correctly started.
16.7 Calibrating CO
2
For the CO
2
module, a calibration is needed every year or when the measured
values have a great deviation from the specified measurement range.
Calibration for the CO
2
module can be performed only when the module
enters the full accuracy mode.
• Connect an exhaust tube to the gas outlet connector of the monitor to
remove the calibration gases to a scavenging system.
Tools required:
â– A steel gas cylinder with 5% CO
2
, 21% O
2
, and balance gas N
2

â– T-shape connector
â– Tubing
Follow this procedure to perform a calibration:
1. Make sure that the CO
2
module has been warmed up or started up.
2. Check the airway for leakage and perform a leakage test as well to make sure the
airway has no leakage.
3. Select [Main]→ [Maintenance >>]→ [User Settings >>]→ enter the required
password→[Module Maintenance >>]→ [Calibrate CO2 >>]→ [Zero].
4. After the zero calibration is finished successfully, connect the equipment as
follows:
