P-RNI2 Intelligent Nosepiece
This nosepiece has a function for detecting the address of an
objective. Attach it to the objective mount on the SMZ1270i
Zooming Body.
The two objectives attached to the nosepiece can be switched by
turning the nosepiece. Vertical observation with a single-side
optical path is also possible.
For details on vertical observation, see the previous section 3.1,
“P-RN2 Nosepiece -  Stereoscopic view and vertical view.”
Objective address, stereoscopic/vertical view information is sent
to the SMZ1270i Zooming Body via a nosepiece cable, and then
output to a DS-L3/DS-L4 camera control unit or a PC
(NIS-Elements).
