ADJUSTMENT
1. Remove the Clutch Center Distance tool from the
engine and transmission.
2. Remove the inner PVT Cover.
3. Loosen the eight engine to transmission coupler
bolts (A).
4. Loosen the two fasteners (B) securing the rear
transmission isolator to the vehicle frame.
5. With the engine and transmission mounting
fasteners loose, install the Clutch Center Distance
Tool (PU-50658) as shown in the inspection process.
6. With the tool now properly installed, in sequence
torque the eight engine to transmission coupler bolts
to specification.
TORQUE
Engine To Trans Coupler Bolts:
55 ft-lbs (75 Nm)
7. Torque the two rear transmission isolator fasteners
(B) to specification
8. Remove the Clutch Center Distance tool and
reassemble the PVT system as outlined in this
chapter.
TORQUE
Rear Trans. Isolator Bolts:
40 ft-lbs (54 Nm)
