5.3 Installation device
Requirements of the installation device
The installation device is designed to ensure that the stator and rotor are aligned centrically
during the entire installation procedure. When installing, observe the eective axial forces.
The installation device must be adapted by the customer in line with the machine
construction. It must be suciently rigid so that it is not warped by the strong attractive
forces between the stator and rotor. Radial forces must be taken into account when the
installation device is dimensioned.
The installation xture must not have any play.
NOTICE
Destruction of the motor
The stator and rotor must not come into contact with each other during centering and
installation because damage cannot be ruled out.
• Use the installation device during installation.
Example for centering and joining motors with cooling jacket
Procedure
1. Place the stator so that it is centered in the holding xture of the lower part of the installation
device.
2. Place the rotor so that it is centered in the holding xture of the upper part of the installation
device.
