Stitch selection
This machine can produce a variety of stitches, depending on the combina-
tion of needle positions, threading technique and tension settings selected.
Stitch type
1. 2-Thread overlock seam:
This 2-thread-1-needle stitch is used for lightweight fabrics or knitted materials.
Changing the needle position will also produce overlock seams 3.5 mm and
5.7 mm wide. *
2. 2-Thread rolled hem, standard:
This 2-thread-1-needle stitch is used to finish edges, for cleaning and sewing bluff
edges. Changing the needle position will also produce rolled hems 3.5 mm and
5.7 mm wide. *
3. 3-Thread overlock seam:
1-Needle-3-thread stitch is for example useful for serging. Depending on the
needle position selected, the overlock seam width can be 3.5 mm or 5.7 mm. *
4. 3-Thread flatlock seam:
1-Needle-3-thread stitch for lapped seams and decorative stitches using decorative
thread. Depending on the needle position selected, the flatlock seam width can be
3.5 mm or 5.7 mm. *
5. 3-Thread overlock seam:
1-Needle-3-thread stitch for narrow rolled hems or decorative edges. Depending
on the needle position selected, the overlock seam width can be 3.5 mm or
5.7 mm. *
6. 4-Thread stretch safety stitch:
2-Needle-4-thread stitch is ideal for medium to heavy stretch fabrics such as knitted
material and swimwear.
* Depending on the needle position selected, the machine can sew an overlock seam with a standard width of 3.5 mm or 5.7 mm.
