Remove the wheel bearings as follows:
• Remove the wheel hub dust seal.

• Insert the bearing remover a

into the wheel bear-
ing.
• Insert the wedge bar ® from the opposite side and lock it into
the slit of the bearing remover attachment.
• Dri
ve
out the wheel bearing by striking the wedge
bar.

Replace

removed
bearings
with
new
ones.

Make sure that the wheel runout (axial and radial) does not ex-
ceed
the
service
limit
when
checkeu

excessive
amount of runout is usually due to worn or loose wheel bearings
and can
be
corrected by replacing the bearings. If bearing re-
placement fails to reduce the runout, replace the wheel
wi
th a
new one.
