Oil Level Inspection / Oil Change
Oil Level Inspection:
If the engine is cold, please warm up the engine several minutes at idle speed.
Stop the engine and wait for several minutes to allow the oil to settle.
Set the scooter upright and check the engine oil level through the oil level inspection window ○,
A, the
oil level should between the upper ○,
a and lower marks ○,b.
Please top up the oil to the upper mark with the same oil when it is at the lower level.
Please check the oil level every 1,000km.
Oil Change:
The oil change should be done by an authorized SYM dealer.
The genuine “SYMOIL” are designed and recommended for your motorcycle.
Please choose oil grade that is equal to (or greater than) SAE 10W-30, API SG. SYM is not responsible
for any damage caused by improper oil.
The first oil change for the motorcycle is in the first 1,000km, change oil in every 5,000km afterwards.
Total oil capacity: 1.4 liters,
Periodic maintenance: 1.2 liters.
WARNING:
•
Revving the engine before the oil reaches every part can cause engine seizure.
NOTE :
• Oil level will not be correct when checking the oil level with the scooter parked on an unleveled ground
or immediately after the engine stopped.
