Capturing a Single-Shot Signal
The reliability of a
reed relay in a piece of equipm ent has been poor and
you n eed to investigate th e problem. You suspect that the relay contacts
arc when the relay opens. The fastest you can open and close the relay
is about once per mi
nute so yo u need to capture the voltage across the
relay as a single-sho t acq uisitio n.
To set up for a sin
gle-shot acquisition, follow these steps:
1. Adjust the vertical Scale and horizontal Scale to appropriate ranges
for the sign al
you expect to see.
2. Push th e Acquire Menu button.
3. Push the Horizontal Resolution screen butto n.
4. Select Norm
al acquisition resolution.
5. Push the Single Seq (single sequence) button.
