Acquisition Controls
Run/Stop Button
Push the Run/Stop button to stop a n d start waveform acquisition.
You can also push Run/Stop when you w ant to resu me continuous
acquisition after a single-sequence acquisition. A readout in the top left
corner of the display shows the status of the acquisition.
Acquisition status r eadout Description
Run: The acquisition is running.
Roll: A roll-mode acquisition is running.
Stop:
The acquisition is stopped.
PreVu:
Previewing; w aiting for trigger.
While the acquisition is running or stopped, you can use these controls
to examine the waveforms:
Channel buttons to select a chann el
Zoom button with horizontal Position and Scale to magnify
waveforms (does not affect the actual time base or trigger position
settings)
Waveform Intensity to adjust gray-scale level
Cursor button to activate cursors to measure waveforms
Meas button to select automatic measurements of waveforms
Hard copy button to print a hard copy
While the acqu isition is stopped, you can change the vertical and
horizontal controls to use in the next acquisition. (See page 63, Ve r t ic al
and Horizontal Preview.)
