9.3.1 Replacement parts
ADVICE
For information on replacement parts and their installation, contact Torqeedo Service or an authorised Service partner.
ADVICE
Only original Torqeedo spare parts may be used. Otherwise, the guarantee and warranty will be rendered void.
9.3.2 Corrosion protection
A high level of corrosion resistance was ensured when selecting the materials. As is usual for maritime products in the leisure sector, most of the materials incorporated into
the Cruise system are classed as sea-water-resistant, not sea-water proof.
Nevertheless, in order to avoid corrosion:
Store the motor only when it is dry.
Regularly check the galvanic anodes, at the latest after 6 months. If necessary, change anodes only as complete sets.
When you use your Cruise system in fresh water, use the aluminium anodes included in the scope of delivery. If you use the Cruise system in salt water, you must also buy
zinc anodes.
Regularly spray cable contacts, data sockets, and data plugs with Wetprotect or similar.
Regularly regrease the threads of the transom clamp bolts and steering components (e.g. with LiquiMoly).
