Connecting aerials and other devices to your TV
Connect the TV’s coaxial cable directly to the aerial input jack at the back of the TV.
Caution:
Before connecting:
• Make sure to disconnect the appliance from the power supply in order to avoid any potential damage from occurring.
• Make sure to establish the required connection.
• Make sure that connections are properly and correctly attached before connecting the appliance to the power supply.

Connecting an audio system
The TV’s digital audio out terminal outputs a Dolby Digital or two-channel down-mixed PCM (Pulse-Code Modulation)
signal for use with an external Dolby Digital decoder, surround sound amplifier, etc. with optical audio input. An optical
audio cable is required for the connection. Use an optical audio cable that has the larger “TosLink” connector and not the
smaller “mini-optical” connecter.
If you have a DTS decoder or processor, you can obtain the full benefit of 5.1 channel DTS encoded soundtracks on DVDs
and audio CDs.
Note:
• The digital audio out terminal may not output some digital audio sources because of copy restrictions.
• The Bass/Treble/Balance adjustments function only with the sound from the TV speakers.
• After connecting a Dolby Digital decoder, please select in the DVD menu the Dolby Digital (DD) sound track option.
• Several DVDs may be pre-recorded on both sides. However only one side contains the Dolby Digital sound track. Please
insert the correct DVD side.
• When a DTS sound track is played, the integrated loudspeakers are muted. The DTS sound can only be played digitally
using the digital outlet. DTS decoder is necessary for hearing.
• Digital audio output is active only when receiving DVB-T, not when receiving analogue cable TV broadcasting.
