Preparation after Storage
Install the battery (if removed) (see
page 122).
If the motorcycle has been stored for
more than four months, change the
engine oil (see page 92).
Check all the points listed in the Daily
Safety Checks section.
Before starting the engine, remove the
spark plugs from each cylinder. Refer to
the Service Manual for detailed
procedures or consult your dealer.
Put the side stand down.
Crank the engine on the starter motor
several times until the oil pressure light
goes out.
Replace the spark plugs, tightening to
12 Nm, and start the engine.
Check and if necessary correct the tyre
pressures (see page 118).
Clean the entire vehicle thoroughly.
Check the brakes for correct operation.
Test ride the motorcycle at low speeds.
