Storage
Preparation after Storage
Install the battery (if removed) (see page 92).
If the motorcycle has been stored for more
than four months, change the engine oil (see
page 63).
Check all the points listed in the Daily Safety
Checks section.
Before starting the engine, remove the spark
plugs from each cylinder.
Put the side stand down.
Crank the engine on the starter motor several
times until the oil pressure light goes out.
Replace the spark plugs, tightening to
20 Nm, and start the engine.
Check and if necessary correct the tyre
pressures (see page 86).
Check and if necessary adjust the drive belt
tension (see page 80).
Clean the entire vehicle thoroughly.
Check the brakes for correct operation.
Test ride the motorcycle at low speeds.
