There is spark throughout the advised inspection but the engine won´t start:
a) Electrode distance too large or too small, due to the different atmospheric pressures
within the combustion chamber. (More precise inspection of the sparkplug in a dry
well).
b) Sparkplug oily or broken.
c) Engine flooded due to excessive dabber use.
d) Too much oil in the ratio.
e) Sparkplug connector defective.
4.32 Red pilot light does not go out after
starting the engine
a) Defective reverse current switch or bad ground.
b) Loose contact at the cable connectors.
c) Defective regulator
d) Defective alternator due to dirty commutator, hanging brushes or short circuit within
the coil.
4.33 Supercharger pilot light doesn´t go out or lights up while
driving
a) Slipping v-belt fails to drive supercharger fly wheel.
b) Dodgy v-belt. (see section 2.162 for details)
4.34 Engine doesn´t run smooth
Four stroke motion (Regular failing of the ignition):
a) Closed choke
b) Dirty air filter
c) Crippled floater needle
d) Wrong carburetor adjustment, main jet too large, jetneedle too high.
e) Defective floater
f) Too much oil in the fuel.
g) False ignition timing
h) Excessive residue in the ports or in the exhaust
