Lubrication oil level check
The oil level must be within the marked range on the
dipstick.
NOTE! There is a low level alarm installed as stan-
dard, but make sure to check the oil level anyway
every once in a while.
Lubrication oil fi lling
Fill lubrication oil through the fi ller opening on the
side of the engine. Wait a few minutes to allow the oil
to run into the oil sump then make sure you have fi l-
led to the right level. After fi lling oil, secure fi ller cap.
IMPORTANT! Do not fi ll above the maximum oil
level. Use only oil of the recommended grade
(refer to chapter Technical Data).
Lubrication oil change
Always observe the recommended oil change inter-
val. Use the oil drain pump (optional) to drain the oil
from the sump.
IMPORTANT! Only use recommended grades
of oil (refer to chapter Technical Data).
1. Warm the engine up (this makes it easier to
pump the oil from the sump). Then stop the engi-
ne.
WARNING! Hot oil and hot surfaces may cause
burns.
2. Connect the suction pipe of the oil drain pump to
the drain pipe. Pump the oil out.
3. Change the oil fi lters and the by-pass fi lter at eve-
ry oil change (refer to section oil fi lter change).
4. Fill up with oil to the correct level.
5. Start the engine and allow it to idle. Check the
oil pressure and that there is no leakage by the
fi lters.
6. Stop the engine. Wait a few minutes before you
check the oil level. Top up as necessary.
NOTE! Process the old oil and discarded fi lters in ac-
cordance with local regulations.
