Oil. Change
1. Remove the dipstick. Connect a hose from the oil
scavenging pump to the dipstick tube.
2. Suck the oil up and put the dipstick back.
3. Fill up with oil to the correct level. Please refer to
section “Oil level. Checking and fi lling”.
Oil grade and volume: Please refer to the “Techni-
cal Data” chapter.
IMPORTANT! Never over-fi ll the re-
verse gear.
4. Start the engine and run until the reverse gear
has reached operating temperature.
5. Check the oil level, as in the description in sec-
tion “Oil level. Checking and fi lling”.
Seal. Lubrication
Lubricate theseal on the output shaft bearing (with
the lubricating nipple) using a hand gun and lithium-
based grease such as Mobilux EP2, Statoil Uniway
EP2N, Texaco Multifak EP2, Q8 Rembrandt EP2.
Changing oil fi lter
1. Unscrew the oil fi lter with a suitable fi lter wrench.
2. Lightly oil the rubber seal of the new fi lter and
make sure its mating surface on the fi lter bracket
is clean.
3. Mount the new fi lter by hand until the gasket is in
contact with the sealing surface. Then tighten the
fi lter another 1/2 turn.
4. Fill up with oil. Please refer to section “Oil level.
Checking and fi lling”.
5. Start the engine (idle) and make sure that no
leakages occur. Run the engine until the reverse
gear has reached operating temperature.
6. Check the oil level. Please refer to section “Oil
level. Checking and fi lling”.
NOTE! Process the discarded oil fi lter in accordance
with local regulations.
