Change the fi lter elements
Stationary engine:
(Single and switchable fi lters)
1. Close the fuel valve/valves.
2. Clean the fi lter bracket and put a suitable vessel
under the fi lter. Remove the protective cap from
the venting nipple. Connect a transparent plastic
hose to the nipple and lower the hose into the
vessel.
3. Relieve pressure inside the fi lter by opening the
venting nipple (1)
WARNING! High pressure inside. Open tap with
caution, hot fl uids may spurt out.
4. Unscrew the fi lter, use a fi lter wrench if needed.

5. Clean the sealing surface on the fi lter bracket.
Make sure the new fi lter is absolutely clean and
that the sealing surfaces are undamaged. Mois-
ten the seals with engine oil, including the inner
rubber seal on the inside of the threaded hole in
the center of the fi lter.
NOTE! Do not fi ll the new fi lter with fuel before as-
sembly. Contaminations may get into the system and
cause damage and malfunction.
6. Screw the new fi lter on by hand until the seal
just touches the mating surface. Then tighten a
further 3/4 turn.
7. Open the fuel valve/valves.
8. Open the venting nipple (2) and work the pump
(5) until air-free fuel fl ows out. Tighten the venting
nipple while fuel is fl owing out.
9. Remove the hose and put the protective cap back
on the nipple.
10. Start the engine and check for leakages.
