9.7.3 FFKM VALVES: INSTALLING VALVE ROD AND SEALING PACKAGE
1. Grease groove with Mobilux® EP2.
Insert O-ring (N) in groove.
Grease O-ring (N) with Mobilux® EP2.

2. Grease O-ring (H) with Mobilux® EP2.
Slide the sealing screw (F), back-up rings (G)
and O-ring (H) onto the valve rod (E).

Arrangement of sealing package in
accordance with gure.
3. Grease sealing screw (F) with Molykote® DX
grease.
Insert valve rod with sealing screw and
sealing package in the valve housing.
4. Screw in sealing screw (F) and tighten it
carefully until it is 1.4 mm; 0.055 inches lower
than the valve housing.

– Screw piston (D) and valve rod (E)
together until stop.
– Secure nut (C) with Loctite® 243.
Hold the valve rod (E) using a size 2
wrench, screw on nut (C) and tighten.
6. Piston (D): Generously grease groove with
Mobilux® EP2.
Insert O-ring (O) in groove (D).
7. Grease the already inserted O-ring (O) with
Mobilux® EP2.
8. Grease front surface of the pressure spring (B) with Mobilux® EP2.
Attach pressure spring (B) to piston (D).
9. Apply Mobilux® EP2 grease to thread and internal space of tension nut (A).
Screw on tension nut (A) and tighten.
10. Fill separating agent in the separating agent container. Reinsert piston.
