Malfunction Cause Remedy
No product transportation Valve does not open. Check the control air hoses.
Replace piston seals (O).
Travel adjustment set too low
(dosing valve).
Increase the travel adjustment.
Contamination Valve clogged by product. Dismantling and cleaning.
Leakage Cause Remedy
Product ow at closed valve
setting.
Valve does not close. Have valve rod (E) and valve seat
replaced by the WAGNER Service
Department.
Air emission on tension nut (A). Piston seal defective. Replace O-ring (O).
PTFE valves
Leakage Cause Remedy
Product emission from leakage
hole (L).
Valve rod seals defective. Replace valve rod seals.
Dosing valves: Use FFKM seals as
necessary (see Chapter10.1).
Air emission from leakage hole (L). O-ring (N) defective. Replace O-ring (N).
FFKM valves
Leakage Cause Remedy
Separating agent contaminated. Valve rod seals defective. Replace separating agent and valve
rod seals: (see Chapter8.2.4).
Use PTFE seals as necessary (see
Chapter10.1).
The piston is pushed out of/
falls out of the separating agent
container.
In the case of contaminated
separating agent: valve rod seals
defective.
In the case of foam formation/air
bubbles: O-ring (N) defective.
Replace O-ring (N).
Foam formation/air bubbles in
separating agent.
O-ring (N) defective.
