7.4.4 Cleaning the Print Head
CAUTION!
Do not touch the print head.
Risk of injuries due to hot print head!
The print head must cool off before cleaning.
During the print process, contamination may accumulate on the print head and negatively affect the
printed image.
Ink ribbon contamination or adhesive residue from label materials contaminate the printer and can
lead to inadequate printing quality.
The printer must be closed during the printing process.
Protect the print material against dust and dirt. This prevents premature wear of the print head.
To clean the print roller, use 99 % isopropyl alcohol (IPA) and a soft, clean, lint-free cloth free of hard
particles.
Cleaning steps
Switch the printer off.
Open the housing cover.
Remove the ink ribbon from printer.
Remove the contamination from the print head with a soft, lint-free cloth soaked in IPA.
Cleaning interval:
Each time after the ink ribbon is changed (printing medium)
If the printed image suffers
