3.6.1. Flushing a contaminated gearbox

Flushing
The procedure below details how to flush a contaminated gearbox. The procedure is the same
for all gearboxes.
Action Note
1. Run the Service program until the castings of the
gearboxes axis 4, 5 and 6 have reached a
temperature of about 30-35º C. Use the finger tips to
measure the temperature.

2. Drain the gearbox properly. Described in section above:
Draining the gearbox properly
on page 231.
3. Fill the gearbox with 700 ml of lubricating oil. Kyodo Yushi TMO 150
Art. no . is specified in Required
equipment on page 231.
4. Refit the oil plug. Tightening torque: 24 Nm.
5. Run the Service program at low speed (25%) during
10 minutes.
6. Drain the gearbox properly.
7. Repeat the steps above until the gearbox is flushed
three times.
