Figure 7.27 Fieldbus Control parameter
displayed
7.5.12 FieldBus Control (optional hardware required)
This parameter is used for conguration of the eldbus communication. Con-
necting the PSE Softstarter to the FieldBusPlug automatically enables eldbus
communication. To enable control of the softstarter using eldbus, this parameter
must be set to On. If FieldBus Control is set to OFF, eldbus can only be used for
monitoring softstarter data.
If this parameter is set to On, the softstarter might trip on eldbus fault if no eld-
bus communication is available. If the intention is to run without eldbus control,
this parameter should be set to OFF.
Caution!
The motor may start unexpectedly if there is a start signal present when do-
ing any of the actions listed below.
•
Switching from one type of control to another (eldbus control / hard-
wire control). Remember that when parameter Fieldbus Fault Reaction
is set to LocC, this switch can happen automatically.
•
Resetting of events.
•
If using automatic event reset.
