PARKING
WARNING
Park the vehicle on firm and level
ground, to prevent it from falling.
Neither lean the vehicle against walls,
nor lay it on the ground.
Make sure that the vehicle, and in
particular hot vehicle components, may
not put the safety of persons and
children at risk.
Do not leave the vehicle unattended
with the engine running or the key in the
ignition switch.
Do not sit on the vehicle when the stand
is down.
u Stop the vehicle, see previous page
(STOPPING).
CAUTION
With the engine stopped and the
ignition switch in position “
” , the
battery may run down.
u Rotate the key (1) and set the ignition
switch (2) to position “
”.
u Place the vehicle on the stand, see
page 38 (POSITIONING THE VEHICLE
ON CENTRE STAND).
CAUTION
It is not necessary to close the fuel tap
when the engine is off, since it is
equipped with an automatic sealing
system.
CAUTION
Never leave the key in the ignition
switch.
u Lock the steering, see page page 17
(STEERING LOCK) and remove the key
(1).

u Grasp the left grip and the rear handle

u Push down the stand lever (2).
