00 Attaching the machine head

1. Set the head 0 onto the table @.

* Make sure that the bed surface of the head 0 and the top of the table @ are flush or that there is
not more than a 0.3 mm step, and that the machine head does not wobble.
2. Loop the V-belt@ over the machine pulley e and the motor pulley 0.
The V-belt @ tension should allow 15-20 mm of give when the belt @ is pressed by hand. Also make
sure
that the centers of the machine pulley e and motor pulley 0 are aligned. If they are not, loosen
the four bolts C9, and slide the motor G to adjust the alignment.
3. Attach the air tubes and the detector connector.
4. Position slide plates (R) and (L) @) so that there is no clearance at the front of the needle plate @),and so
that the clearances on the right and left sides of the slide plates are equal. Adjust the positioning bolts
(D) and fulcrum pin guides (R) and (L) tD so that there is no play either front-back or left-right.
