Changing the Metering Method
You can select the light metering mode.
1. Set the camcorder to record still images ( ) and set the
mode dial to , Tv or Av.
2. Press the FUNC. button.
3. First, select ( ) the current light metering symbol from the left side
column and then select ( ) the desired option from the bottom bar.
4. Press the FUNC. button to save the setting and close the menu.
EVALUATIVE
Appropriate for standard shooting conditions, including
backlit scenes. The camcorder divides the picture into
several zones for light metering and evaluates complex
lighting conditions in order to achieve the optimal
exposure of the subject.
CENT.WEIGHT.AVERAGE
Averages the light metered from the entire screen, giving
more weight to the subject in the center.
SPOT
Meters the area within the spot AE point frame. Use this
setting for adjusting the exposure to match the subject in
the center of the screen.
