2.1.1 Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R3
The terminal integrates Microsoft

Windows Embedded CE 6.0 R3 as its operating system.

• Improvement of kernel (note)
• Large file size (4GB) is supported
• SDHC card (SDHC Ver2.0 standard) is supported
• RDP6.0 is supported
• Easy development thanks to open environment
• PPC application operation with AYGShell
• .NET Compact FrameWork 2.0 / 3.5 is supported
• High speed processing
Note:
The performance of the OS integrated in the terminal has been significantly improved by the
modified kernel architecture. The modification has resulted in reduction of the overhead for the
system call. This improvement includes that the driver can run in the kernel mode, the virtual
memory space is expanded to 2 GB, and the 32K process is made possible. Thus, the unstable
system in the WindowsCE Ver. 5.0 or earlier caused by the lack of resource has been also solved.
