Configuring IEEE 802.1x Authentication
This example shows how to disable IEEE 802.1x authentication on the port:
Switch(config)# interface gigabitethernet2/0/1
Switch(config-if)# no dot1x pae authenticator
Resetting the IEEE 802.1x Authentication Configuration to the Default Values
Beginning in privileged EXEC mode, follow these steps to reset the IEEE 802.1x authentication
configuration to the default values. This procedure is optional.
Command Purpose
Step 1
configure terminal Enter global configuration mode.
Step 2
interface interface-id Enter interface configuration mode, and specify the port to be configured.
Step 3
dot1x default Reset the IEEE 802.1x parameters to the default values.
Step 4
end Return to privileged EXEC mode.
Step 5
show dot1x interface interface-id Verify your entries.
Step 6
copy running-config startup-config (Optional) Save your entries in the configuration file.
