Installing The Input/Output Panel
CAUTION: Many repairs may only be done by a certified service technician. You should only perform
troubleshooting and simple repairs as authorized in your product documentation, or as directed by the online or
telephone service and support team. Damage due to servicing that is not authorized by Dell is not covered by your
warranty. Read and follow the safety instructions that came with the product.
1. Turn off the system, including any attached peripherals, and disconnect the system from the electrical outlet and
peripherals.
2. Lay the system on its side, on a flat and stable surface.
3. Open the system.
4. Insert the I/O panel into the slot on the front of the chassis.
5. Tighten the screw to secure the I/O panel to the chassis.
6. Route the I/O panel, data cable, and USB data cables through the chassis clip.
7. Connect the I/O panel, data cable, and USB data cables to the system board.
8. Install the bezel.
9. Close the system.
10. Place the system upright on a flat, stable surface.
11. Reconnect the system to its electrical outlet and turn the system on, including any attached peripherals.
