To view the shared folder:
1. Select Home > Setup > File manager > Network.
2. The shared folder will be displayed.

Simple EDC
EDC (External Data Capture) enables variable text elements in a label to be populated with data
sent from an external source. External data is stored in a buer queue in the printer in advance of
printing.

Simple EDC is primarily intended to receive data from checkweigher and
machine readable code (barcode scanner) inputs.
2. Simple EDC for the Gx-Series does not include all of the EDC features from
Domino Ax-Series printers.
To setup and enable EDC:
1. Select Home > Setup > Printer network > Simple EDC.
2. To setup or change the EDC the settings, make sure the Enable tick box is not ticked.
3. The settings described below can now be defined:
Item Details
VText index Chose a variable text element in the label that will be populated
with external data.
Print group Choose which print group to setup.
Start marker Define the marker that is used to mark the start of printable items
in the data packet.

End marker Define the marker that is used to mark the end of printable items in
the data packet.

Timeout Set how much time is allowed to process external data. If the data
is not processed within this time, the data in the receive buer will
be discarded and not put into the vText queue. Also, a timeout
alert will be triggered.
Default setting: 1000 Milliseconds
Persist data Choose if the external data is persistent (data remains the same),
or is dynamic (data changes).
