Switching the steering wheel heating
on and o on the multifunction steering
wheel
1. Press to switch on the steering wheel
hea
ting at the highest temperature set-
ting.
2. To adjust the temperature setting, press
repeatedly.
3.
To switch o the steering wheel heat-
ing, press
repeatedly until the bar
displa
y in the instrument cluster display
goes out.
Storing the temperature setting
1. Switch on the steering wheel heating
and set the desired temperature set-
ting.
2. To store the current temperature set-
ting, press
and hold for around 1 sec-
ond.
T
he temperature setting is now stored
and the steering wheel heating is
switched o.
3. To switch the steering wheel heating
back on again with the last stored tem-
perature setting, press
and hold for
around 1 sec
ond.
Steering wheel heating switches on au-
tomatically
The most recent temperature setting is
switched on automatically if you switch on
the engine again within approximately
10 minutes.
Steering wheel heating switches o au-
tomatically
The steering wheel heating switches itself
o automatically if one of the following
conditions is met:
The power consumption is too high.
There is a fault in the steering wheel
heating system.

The vehicle has a fresh air intake duct in
front of the windscreen Fig. 93.
NOTICE
If snow is drawn in, it can cause damage to
the vehicle.

Before starting a trip, make sure there is
no snow in the area of the fresh air in-
take.

emove any snow as required.

Cooling mode
or the heating cannot
be s
witched on or its function is restric-
ted
Cooling mode
works only when the en-
gine is running and a
t ambient tempera-
tures above +3°C (+38°F).
When the engine is very hot and in extreme
outside temperatures, operation of cooling
mode
, the heating and the defrost
function may be restricted.
Switch on the blower.
