of the grease.
After a period of inactivity, lubricate the tensioners before
restarting to prevent the grease from drying out.
Irregular or partial lubrication of the tensioners can cause
seizing of the tensioning tube on the sleeve.
If the tensioners are not free to return, breakages or defor
-
mations may occur.
Breakages due to lack of maintenance are excluded from
the warranty. The deformation of the tensioners is the major
cause of the broken tracks.
Versions with manual tensioners:
- Lift the machine sideways so that the track rotates
freely and does not touch the ground.
- Place a straight edge (1 Fig. 7) on the track in
correspondence with the wheels (A and B Fig. 7),
turn the bolt (2 Fig. 7) of the tensioner to obtain a
space of 10-15 mm between the straight edge and
the track.
- Rotate the track in both directions and check that
the space between the rule and the track is 10-15
mm each time.
NOTE: this check must be carried out after 20 hours
of work and subsequently every 150 hours of work.
DISMANTLING, REASSEMBLY AND REPLACEMENT
OF TRACKS
WARNING
The tracks replacement operation should be per-
formed at a workshop equipped and by competent
mechanics.
The replacement of the tracks must be carried out
when the tracks have a high wear or are damaged.
The disassembly of the tracks can also be carried
out whenever there is a maintenance operation to be
performed on the machine that requires disassembly.
Versions with automatic tensioners:
- Using the 30 mm socket wrench (supplied), un-
screw the M30 nut of the tie rod, (5 Fig. 10)
- Remove the thread protection rubber tube, (4 Fig.
10).
- Tighten the 27 mm hexagon (supplied), using the
27 mm wrench (supplied), and tighten it until the
spring (2 Fig.10) is packaged.
- Remove the track.
- Insert the new track by sliding it onto the drive
wheel and the tensioning wheel (make sure that
the teeth coincide with the central steps that are
inside the track), so that once pulled, traction is
assured.
- Unscrew the 27 mm hexagon.
- Insert the rubber thread protection tube and the
washers (4 Fig.10).
- Screw with the 30 mm socket wrench (supplied)
into the M30 nut (5 Fig. 10).
Versions with manual tensioners:
To disassemble the tracks, perform the following operations
on each track in order:
- Unscrew the locknut of the tensioner bolt.
- Unscrew the tensioning screw (2 Fig. 7).
- Push down on the wheel (B Fig. 7).
- It is now possible to remove the track to be replaced and
t the new one (track size: 150x60x40).
- Tighten the tensioning screw (2 Fig. 7) until the correct
tension is obtained.
- Tighten the locknut of the tensioner screw.
To ret the tracks, it is strictly forbidden to lever the frame
with a bar and strain against the hydraulic motors. This
operation could bend the frame (especially at the hydraulic
motors behind the gear wheels).
(Assembly procedure error not covered by warranty).
Periodically and whenever a machine lubrication operation
is performed, lubricate the sliding tubes of the track tension
wheel support by injecting grease using the grease tting
(3 Fig. 7). two sides.
5.2.3 BATTERY
If you experience an ignition engine trouble, check
the efciency of the battery and if necessary have
it replaced by skilled personnel. The battery is
maintenance-free as of the sealed type.
5.3 MOTOR MAINTENANCE
With regard to the maintenance of the engine, see the
specic engine instructions booklet. Approximately,
every 8 hours of work: check and top up the engine
oil level. also check and clean if necessary the engine
air lter. Replace if clogged.
Clean the air lter periodically.
WARNING
Engine cylinder wear due to non-cleaning of the air lter
is not covered by the warranty as it is not a design defect
and can only occur in the following 3 cases:
1) from deterioration of the air lter and sponge pa-
per cartridge following an incorrect cleaning with
compressed air (completely prohibited, see page
