End of Procedure Product Options
As many as seven cycles can be pre-programmed for processing in the Automatic
mode. If seven complete cycles are programmed on LED program board versions of
the COBE 2991, the machine will stop after the Agitate/Wash-In operation of the
seventh cycle. Pin-diode versions will repeat the seventh cycle and stop after the
Agitate/Wash-In operation of the eighth cycle. To automatically end processing
prior to the seventh cycle, do one of the following:
Program a packed cells (PC) stop. Processing ends after the
Supernatant-Out operation of the cycle in which it was programmed, leaving
concentrated cells in the cell processing bag.
-or-
Program a resuspended cells (RC) stop. Processing ends after the
Agitate/Wash-In operation of the cycle in which it was programmed, leaving
diluted or resuspended cells in the cell processing bag.
During processing in the Manual mode, the number of cycles is determined by the
operator. In both Automatic and Manual modes, the STOP RESET button may be
pressed at any time to end processing.
