Non-Alarm Troubleshooting
Start/Spin Operation Does Not Advance to Supernatant-Out Operation (START SPIN Light Illuminated)
The COBE 2991 does not advance from the Start/Spin operation to the Supernatant-Out operation when expected.
Probable Cause Action
The SPIN TIME setting is incorrect. Verify the SPIN TIME setting.
The COBE 2991 is in Manual mode. Press the SUPER OUT button to advance to the Supernatant-Out
operation. Ensure that the AUTO/MANUAL button/switch is in the
correct position.
Zero spin time programmed (LED program board only), placing the
COBE 2991 in a Hold status.
Program a spin time and press the CONTINUE button.
Pins in both TIMER sockets (pin-diode program board only), placing
the COBE 2991in a Hold status.
Remove the appropriate pin and press the CONTINUE button.
Internal malfunction. Contact a qualified service representative.
