Start/Spin Operation Not Working (START SPIN Light Illuminated)
The COBE 2991 does not go into the Start/Spin operation, although the START SPIN light illuminates.
Start/Spin Operation Not Working (START SPIN Light Illuminates but Turns Off)
After you press the START SPIN button, the centrifuge rotates and the STAR SPIN light illuminates for approximately one second, then the centrifuge
stops and the START SPIN light turns off.
Probable Cause Action
CENTRIFUGE SPEED is set to 0 rpm. Verify the CENTRIFUGE SPEED setting.
Circuit breaker CB4 has been tripped. Reset circuit breaker CB4. See “CIRCUIT BREAKERS” on page 3-10. If
the circuit breaker continues to trip, contact a qualified service
representative.
Internal malfunction. Contact a qualified service representative.
Caution: Before attempting to reset a circuit breaker, always unplug the
power cord.
Warning: Only trained technical personnel should open the front and
right panel doors. Only qualified service personnel should open the left and
rear panel doors. A special tool may be required to open the panel doors.

Internal malfunction. Contact a qualified service representative.
