PERFORMANCE TEST
Warm up the engine before laking readings.

Use a fully charged battery to check the charg·
ing system output.
Connect an ammeter and voltmeter as shown.
Start the engine and take readings.

NOTE
ALTERNATOR INSPECTION

Yellow-Engine ground
White-Engine ground
It is not necessary to remove the stator to make
this
test.
NOTE
Disconnect the stator connectors.
Check the resistances between Ihe connectors with an
ohmmeter in the RX1H Hinge.
Replace the stator coil and flywheel as a set.
SILICON RECTIFIER INSPECTION
Check lor continuity between the terminals with an
ohmmeter.
The rectifier is normal if there is continuity one in
direction only.
