DRIVE PULLEY/KICKS STARTER/CLUTCH/DRIVEN PULLEY
DRIVE FACE ASSEMBLY
KiCK STARTER INSTALLAJ;ION

Install the kick starte, driven gear by cleaning the
gcal matching surface ;:
Clean the taper on the rankshaft ilnd Install the
driven gear.
Install the dri'o'!! face i1ssembly (page 8-8).
Apply grease to the luck spindle and idll) shaft bush·
ing and install then inl0 the left crankcase.
Position the thrust washer on the lett crankcase by
coating to the washer with grease.
Install the stoppel' plate.

DRIVE GEAR IDLE GEAR
Install the kick starter drive gear and can aligning the
friction spring with the groove in the lelt..crankcase.
Point the arrow milrk 011 the dnye gear toward the
craflKshaft, placing the cam on the drive gear by
turning it clockwise.
Install the idle shalt, alig,'ing its punch mark with the
kick stilrter carn punch mark.

SPRING
Install the kick starter spindle by aligning the punch
marks.
Hook the return spring to the left crankC<lse ilS
shown.
Install
the thrust washer on the spindle.
Install
the drive belt and install the crankcase cover
(Page a·g).
