Basic Operation & Riding

Starting & Stopping the Engine
Always follow the proper starting procedure described below.
For your safety, avoid starting or operating the engine in an enclosed
area such as a garage. Your ATV’s exhaust contains poisonous
carbon monoxide gas which can collect rapidly in an enclosed area
and cause illness or death.
If you turn the ignition switch to the OFF (w) position while in
reverse, the transmission will automatically return to neutral (q)
when the ignition switch is turned to the ON (q) position.
The starter motor will operate when the transmission is in neutral or
the front brake lever is pulled in.

WARNING
Running the engine of your vehicle while in
an enclosed or even partially enclosed area
can cause a rapid build-up of toxic carbon
monoxide gas.
Breathing this colourless, odorless gas can
quickly cause unconsciousness and lead to
death.
Only run your vehicle's engine when it is
located in a well ventilated area outdoors.
