Fabric OS 6.2 administrator guide 443
The following example sets the speed for all ports on the switch to 8 Gb/s:
switch:admin> switchcfgspeed 8
Committing configuration...done.
The following example sets the speed for all ports on the switch to autonegotiate:
switch:admin> switchcfgspeed 0
Committing configuration...done.
Displaying trunking information
You can display all the trunks and members of a trunk, and whether the trunking port connection is the
master port connection for the trunking group. Viewing trunks is also useful for when you want to ensure
that trunks are formed correctly.
Use the trunkShow command to display the following information about ISL Trunking groups:
1. Connect to the switch and log in using an account assigned to the admin role.
2. Enter the trunkShow command.
This example shows three trunking groups (1, 2, and 3); ports 1, 4, and 14 are masters:
switch:admin> trunkshow
1: 1 -> 1 10:00:00:60:69:04:10:83 deskew 16 Master
0 -> 0 10:00:00:60:69:04:10:83 deskew 15
2: 4 -> 4 10:00:00:60:69:04:01:94 deskew 16 Master
5 -> 5 10:00:00:60:69:04:01:94 deskew 15
7 -> 7 10:00:00:60:69:04:01:94 deskew 17
6 -> 6 10:00:00:60:69:04:01:94 deskew 16
3:14 -> 14 10:00:00:60:69:04:10:83 deskew 16 Master
15 -> 15 10:00:00:60:69:04:10:83 deskew 15
Trunking over extended fabrics
In addition to the criteria listed in ”Standard trunking criteria” on page 436, observe the following criteria
for trunking over extended fabrics:
It is supported on switches running Fabric OS 4.4.0 and later.
Extended Fabrics and ISL Trunking licenses are required on all participating switches.
When configuring long distance, the portCfgLongDistance --vc_translation_link_init
parameter must be set the same on all ports in an extended fabric. See the Fabric OS Command
Reference for additional information on the values to use with this parameter.
Trunking distances
Enhanced trunking support for switches with single ASIC platforms is summarized in Table 85.
Trunking Group Number Each trunking group on a switch. All the ports that are part of this
trunking group are displayed.
Port-to-port connections, The port-to-port trunking connections.
WWN The WWN of the connected port.
Domain The domain IDs of the switches directly connected to the physical
ports.
Deskew The time difference, in nanoseconds divided by 10, for traffic to travel
over each ISL as compared to the shortest ISL in the group. The system
automatically sets the minimum deskew value of the shortest ISL to 15.
Master Whether this trunking port connection is the master port connection
for the trunking group.
