5.22 Mainboard
NO TICE
There are two types of mainboards: mainboard for the server with Kunpeng
920 7260, 5250, or 5230 processors and mainboard for the server with Kunpeng
920 5220 or 3210 processors. Before replacing the mainboard, obtain the spare
part based on the processor model. For details about how to query the server
model, see 8.7 Querying the Processor Model of a Server.
This section uses the server with Kunpeng 920 7260, 5250, or 5230 processors
as an example to describe the internal structure of a server. The procedures for
removing and installing the mainboard are the same for the server
congured
with Kunpeng 920 5220 or 3210 processors.
Removing the Mainboard
Step 1 Conrm the iBMC and BIOS congurations with the customer for quick recovery
after replacing the mainboard.
Step 2 Log in to the iBMC and record iBMC, BIOS, and CPLD rmware versions of the
mainboard to be replaced. (Choose Information > System Info > Product Info >
Mainboard Info on the iBMC WebUI or run the ipmcget -d version command on
the iBMC CLI.)
Step 3 (Optional) Export the iBMC and BIOS
conguration les. For details, see "Import/
Export" in the
TaiShan Rack Server iBMC User Guide
. After replacing the
mainboard, you can quickly restore the server conguration by importing the
iBMC and BIOS conguration les.
The iBMC and BIOS conguration les exported from the iBMC can be directly imported
after the mainboard replacement. However, the exported conguration les do not
contain password information. You need to manually congure the password for the
iBMC user. For details, see "Import/Export" in the
TaiShan Rack Server iBMC User
Guide
.
If the iBMC of the mainboard to be replaced cannot be logged in or the iBMC and BIOS
conguration les are not exported before the mainboard is replaced, you need to
manually congure the iBMC and BIOS after replacing the mainboard.
Step 4 Wear an ESD wrist strap. For details, see 5.2 ESD Protection.
Step 5 Power o the server. For details, see 5.4.2 Powering O the Server.
Step 6 Remove the power cables. For details, see 5.7 PSU.
Step 7 Remove the server. For details, see 5.4.4 Removing the Server and Guide Rails.
Step 8 Remove the FlexIOs. For details, see 5.17 FlexIO Card.
Step 9 Remove the chassis cover. For details, see 5.8 Chassis Cover.
Step 10 Remove the air duct. For details, see 5.9 Air Duct.
