5.14 Screw-in RAID Controller Card
● This section uses the server with Kunpeng 920 7260, 5250, or 5230 processors
as an example to describe the internal structure of a server. The procedures for
removing and installing the screw-in RAID controller card are the same for the
server
congured with Kunpeng 920 5220 or 3210 processors.
● Before removing a RAID controller card, you can use Smart Provisioning to
delete data stored on the RAID controller card. For details, see "Erasing Hard
Disks" in the
Smart Provisioning User Guide 02 (aarch64)
.
Removing the Screw-in RAID Controller Card
Step 1 Wear an ESD wrist strap. For details, see 5.2 ESD Protection.
Step 2 Power
o the server. For details, see 5.4.2 Powering O the Server.
Step 3 Remove the power cables. For details, see 5.7 PSU.
Step 4 Remove the server. For details, see 5.4.4 Removing the Server and Guide Rails.
Step 5 Remove the chassis cover. For details, see 5.8 Chassis Cover.
Step 6 Remove the supercapacitor if the server is
congured with one. For details, see
5.15 Supercapacitor.
Step 7 If I/O module 2 is
congured with a full-height full-length riser module, remove
the riser module. For details, see 5.11 Riser Module.
Step 8 Determine the position of the screw-in RAID controller card on the mainboard. See
Figure 5-61.
