Traction Pedal Position Sensor
Removal and Installation
See Figures 4-149 through 4-151.
1. Park the mower safely. (See “Park Mower Safely” on
page 1-6.)
2. Remove right fender. (See “Front Fenders” on
page 5-13.)
3. Remove covers. (See “Front Cover” on page 7-16
and “Rear Cover” on page 7-16.)
4. Remove traction pedal. (See “Traction Pedal” on
page 5-14.)

5. Remove screws (1) and washers (2).
6. Remove screws (3) and washers (4).

NOTE
For installation purposes, label the front side of the
traction pedal position sensor.
7. Tag and disconnect wire connector (9).
NOTE
Raise the right side of the floorboard mat to access the
heads of screws (7).
8. Support the traction pedal position sensor assembly
(10) with a suitable lifting device.
9. Remove two nuts (8), spacers (6), spacers (5), and
screws (7).
10. Remove traction pedal position sensor assembly
(10).

11. Remove two screws (19), spacers (17), spacers (13),
nuts (11), and bracket (12).
12. Remove nut (16), lock washer (15), flat washer (14),
two flat washers (18), and accelerator mount (21)
from traction pedal sensor (20).
Installation Notes
• Install traction pedal position sensor by reversing the
order of removal.
• Apply dielectric grease (Jacobsen PN 365422) to any
connectors removed.
