Seat and Seat Platform
Removal and Installation
See Figures 7-11 through 7-13.
1. Park the mower safely. (See “Park Mower Safely” on
page 1-6.)
2. Remove cowlings. (See “Cowlings” on page 7-18.)
3. Remove armrest assembly. (See “Armrest Assembly”
on page 7-7.)

NOTE
The seat switch wire harness connector for the standard
seat is located below the seat.
4. Tag and disconnect the seat switch wire harness
connector (2).
NOTE
Steps 5 through 7 are for the optional seat only. For the
standard seat, proceed to step 8.
5. Tilt the seat back rest (1) forward.
6. Raise rear of seat (3) and slide seat forward.
7. Remove seat (3).

8. Remove nuts (4), lock washers (5), and carriage
bolts (6).
9. Remove lock collar bracket (7).

10. Support seat and seat platform (8) with a suitable
lifting device.
11. Remove nuts (9), washers (10), square-head bolts
(11), seat track rear stop (12), and seat track forward
stop (13).
12. Using a suitable lifting device, remove seat and seat
platform (8) from the machine.
Installation Notes
• Install the seat and seat platform by reversing the
order of removal.
• Carefully route and secure seat switch wire harness
to avoid damage from pinched wires.
