Rifling or Tramlining
NOTE: One cutting unit width shown. Arrow indicates

Rifling or tramlining is a pattern of varying cutting heights,
resulting in a wave-like cut appearance, usually due to
heavy contact points across the reel and/or bedknife.
Probable Cause Remedy
Reel and/or bedknife unevenly worn. Inspect bedknife and reel. Grind or replace as needed. (Refer to
“Safety, Operation, and Maintenance Manual,” “Bedknife” on
page 6-27, or “Reel Assembly” on page 6-30)
