This system can output uncompressed digital video
signals to a TV compatible with HDMI
(High-Definition Multimedia Interface).
NOTE
• The HDMI video signal type can be checked in the
display window.
(Refer to “Selecting the video signal type” on this
page.)
• If the picture is distorted while an HDMI TV is
connected, turn off the main unit and turn it on
again.
•Only available for a TV compatible with HDCP
(High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection) can be
connected to the [HDMI] terminal, so that the
uncompressed HD video signal type can be outpu t.
•Use a
High Speed HDMI Cable.
• In default settings, no HDMI audio is output from the
TV. (Refer to “HDMI AUDIO OUTPUT” on page 53)
CAUTION
• Connect the main unit directly to a TV (or a monitor)
without routing through a video cassette recorder
(VCR). Otherwise picture distortion may occur
during playback. (Routing the connection through a
VCR, however, does not affect the audio quality.)
• Connecting the main unit to a VCR-built-in-TV may
also cause picture distortion during playback.
To view an image on the TV screen, select the video
signal type correctly according to the TV after
connecting the main u nit to the TV.
1 Change to the most appropriate
settings on your TV in advance.
2 Turn on the main unit. (Refer to
“Connecting the power cable” on
page 10 and “Turning on the main
unit” on page 12.)
3 Press [SCAN MODE].
