4.2.1 Connection of the voltage supply

The COMBIVERT S6 corresponds to the drive
converter type A1. This type can be supplied
both by mains and via DC terminals. The start-
ing current limiting is arranged before the DC
link. When using as DC output, parallel con-
nected drive converters must have their own
starting current limiting at the DC voltage in-
put.

Cyclic switching on and off of the unit leads to temporary high resistance
of the resistor (PTC) in the input. The unit displays „Error! load shunt
fault“ in this state. When switching the control release during this fault,
the unit will switch off. A restart without limitation is possible after cooling.
Destruction of the drive converter !
Never exchange connections mains input and motor output !
