9.34Checking the rear brake disc

Danger of accidents Reduced braking effect caused by worn brake discs.
– Have worn brake discs replaced immediately in an authorized KTM-RC8 workshop.

– Check the thickness of the brake disc in several places to see if it conforms to measure-
ment .
Info
Wear reduces the thickness of the brake disc in area of the brake linings.
Brake disc - wear limit
Rear 4.5 mm (0.177 in)
» If the brake disc thickness is less than the specified value:
–
Change the brake disc. x
9.35Adjusting the basic position of the handbrake lever

– Pull the brake lever forwards.
– Adjust the neutral position of the handbrake lever to your hand position by turning the
adjusting screw .
