IfyourserverhasanSDmoduleinstalled,dothefollowingwhenyouwanttoremovetheSDmodule:
1.Removeallexternalmediafromthedrivesandturnoffallattacheddevicesandtheserver.Then,
disconnectallpowercordsfromelectricaloutletsanddisconnectallcablesthatareconnectedto
theserver.
2.Iftheserverisinstalledinarackcabinet,removetheserverfromtherackcabinetandplaceitonaflat,
clean,andstatic-protectivesurface.SeetheRackInstallationInstructionsthatcomeswiththeserver.If
theserverisintowerformfactor,laytheserveronitssideforeasieroperation.
3.Removetheservercover.See“Removingtheservercover”onpage72.
4.Removethecoolingshroud.See“Removingthecoolingshroud”onpage75.
5.Removeanypartsanddisconnectanycablesthatmightimpedeyouroperation.
6.LocatetheSDmoduleonthesystemboard.
7.Pressthetworeleasetabs1andgrasptheSDmodulebyitsedgesatthesametime.Then,liftthe
SDmodulestraightupandoffthesystemboard.

8.PushtheSDcardinwardalittleuntilyouhearaclick.Then,theSDcardejects.Gentlyslidethe
