WARNING
Mechanical
The cylinder unit and outdoor unit must not be installed, disassembled, relocated, altered or repaired by the user. Ask an authorised installer or technician. If
theunitisinstalledimproperlyormodiedafterinstallationbytheuserwaterleakage,electricshockorremayresult.
Theoutdoorunitshouldbesecurelyxedtoahardlevelsurfacecapableofbearingitsweight.
Thecylinderunitshouldbepositionedonahardlevelsurfacecapableofsupportingitslledweighttopreventexcessivesoundorvibration.
Donotpositionfurnitureorelectricalappliancesbelowtheoutdoorunitorcylinderunit.
Thedischargepipeworkfromtheemergencydevicesofthecylinderunitshouldbeinstalledaccordingtolocallaw.
OnlyuseaccessoriesandreplacementpartsauthorisedbyMitsubishiElectricaskaqualiedtechniciantottheparts.
Electrical
Allelectricalworkshouldbeperformedbyaqualiedtechnicianaccordingtolocalregulationsandtheinstructionsgiveninthismanual.
Theunitsmustbepoweredbyadedicatedpowersupplyandthecorrectvoltageandcircuitbreakersmustbeused.
Wiringshouldbeinaccordancewithnationalwiringregulations.Connectionsmustbemadesecurelyandwithouttensionontheterminals.
Earth unit correctly.
General
Keepchildrenandpetsawayfromboththecylinderunitandoutdoorunit.
Donotusethehotwaterproducedbytheheatpumpdirectlyfordrinkingorcooking.Thiscouldcauseillnesstotheuser.
Do not stand on the units.
Donottouchswitcheswithwethands.
Annualmaintenancechecksonboththecylinderunitandtheoutdoorunitshouldbeconductedbyaqualiedperson.
Donotplacecontainerswithliquidsontopofthecylinderunit.Iftheyleakorspillontothecylinderunitdamagetotheunitand/orrecouldoccur.
Do not place any heavy items on top of the cylinder unit.
Wheninstalling,relocating,orservicingthecylinderunit,useonlythespeciedrefrigerant(R410A)tochargetherefrigerantlines.Donotmixitwithanyother
refrigerantanddonotallowairtoremaininthelines.Ifairismixedwiththerefrigerant,thenitcanbethecauseofabnormalhighpressureintherefrigerant
line,andmayresultinanexplosionandotherhazards.
Theuseofanyrefrigerantotherthanthatspeciedforthesystemwillcausemechanicalfailureorsystemmalfunctionorunitbreakdown.Intheworstcase,this
couldleadtoaseriousimpedimenttosecuringproductsafety.
Inheatingmode,toavoidtheheatemittersbeingdamagedbyexcessivelyhotwater,setthetargetowtemperaturetoaminimumof2ºCbelowthemaximum
allowabletemperatureofalltheheatemitters.ForZone2,setthetargetowtemperaturetoaminimumof5ºCbelowthemaximumallowableowtemperature
of all the heat emitters in Zone2 circuit.
Donotinstalltheunitwherecombustiblegasesmayleak,beproduced,ow,oraccumulate.Ifcombustiblegasaccumulatesaroundtheunit,reorexplosion
may result.
CAUTION
Usecleanwaterthatmeetslocalqualitystandardsontheprimarycircuit.
Theoutdoorunitshouldbeinstalledinanareawithsufcientairowaccordingtothediagramsintheoutdoorunitinstallationmanual.
The cylinder unit should be located inside to minimise heat loss.
Waterpipe-runsontheprimarycircuitbetweenoutdoorandindoorunitshouldbekepttoaminimumtoreduceheatloss.
Ensurecondensatefromoutdoorunitispipedawayfromthebasetoavoidpuddlesofwater.
Remove as much air as possible from the primary and DHW circuits.
Refrigerantleakagemaycausesuffocation.ProvideventilationinaccordancewithEN378-1.
Besuretowrapinsulationaroundthepiping.Directcontactwiththebarepipingmayresultinburnsorfrostbite.
Neverputbatteriesinyourmouthforanyreasontoavoidaccidentalingestion.
Batteryingestionmaycausechokingand/orpoisoning.
Installtheunitonarigidstructuretopreventexcessivesoundorvibrationduringoperation.
DonottransportthecylinderunitwithwaterinsidetheDHWtank.Thiscouldcausedamagetotheunit.
Ifpowertothecylinderunitistobeturnedoff(orsystemswitchedoff)foralongtime,thewatershouldbedrained.
Ifunusedforalongperiod,beforeoperationisresumed,DHWtankshouldbeushedthroughwithpotablewater.
Preventativemeasuresshouldbetakenagainstwaterhammer,suchasinstallingaWaterHammerArrestorontheprimarywatercircuit,asdirectedbytheman-
ufacturer.
Asforthehandlingofrefrigerant,refertotheoutdoorunitinstallationmanual.
