Prevent Rust
Where you operate the load unit determines how often you take rust prevention measures. Humid and
corrosive environments require more prevention.
Recommended Supplies
l Ethanol
l Silicone spray
l 000 emery cloth
l Touch-up paint
l Metal primer paint
l Lint-free cloths
Warning:
The crosshead locks cannot securely clamp on damp columns. The crosshead can slip
if the columns are still damp with kerosene.
You can be hurt and your equipment damaged.
Wait until the columns are dry to the touch before moving and locking the crosshead.
